# DESYNC System Checker

A portable Windows 10/11 x64 application for PC diagnostics, comparing data and managing selected Windows settings.

[Download from the official website](https://www.desync.pro/checker.exe). On the DESYNC website: Help → Download Checker.

## First use

![](https://content.gitbook.com/content/2IqdwbRpQj7CdFx59AIG/blobs/tTndyUOxPhhSN30a1RqK/spaces%2FnitGYSBvlczRLpWdhsJO%2Fuploads%2FAxKj0Qy0BvFjCDGg9gub%2F01%20image.png?alt=media\&token=cad99aa8%20a31d%204057%20ac1e%20aa99290d1847)

1. Run the downloaded file.
2. Wait for the update check and install the program update if needed.
3. Start diagnostics and wait for completion.
4. Find the report section you need.
5. When preparing the PC, compare the values with [DESYNC requirements](/desync-docs/russkii/english/pc-preparation.md).

The checker does not require a separate .NET or Visual C++ installation. Install the components required by DESYNC using the preparation guide.

Diagnostics do not change settings or send anything. The TXT report stays on your PC; Windows changes are applied separately with confirmation.

## What is checked

| Section | Information |
| -------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |
| System | Windows edition and build, UEFI/Legacy mode, GPT/MBR system disk |
| Hardware | CPU, RAM, GPU, storage, SMART, USB/HID and network adapters |
| Drivers | Version, date and digital signature; update information when available |
| Components | Visual C++, DirectX, .NET Desktop Runtime and .NET Framework |
| Security and compatibility | Defender, SmartScreen, UAC, VBS, HVCI, Hyper-V, Secure Boot and other settings |
| Software | Signs of installed antivirus programs and common anti-cheat systems |
| Identifiers | UUID, serial numbers and other identifiers available to the system |

An incomplete or failed check does not prove that a setting is enabled or disabled. Data availability depends on hardware, drivers and Windows policies.

## Reading results

Use the OK, Attention and Potential problem summary, text search and section navigation. Consider whether diagnostics are complete.

Compatibility colors do not rate Windows security. Not every row needs to be green: some settings are optional.

## Windows settings

1. Select the required changes.
2. Review the queue.
3. Confirm application. Disabling protection features requires separate confirmation.
4. Wait for another check.
5. Restart the PC yourself if required.

Successfully changed settings can be rolled back, including the Windows default state. Conflicting Hyper-V changes are blocked. The standard two-position switch does not change Smart App Control in Evaluation mode.

[PC preparation](/desync-docs/russkii/english/pc-preparation.md) lists the required values, including all three ASLR settings.

For SmartScreen and Defender real-time protection, Open takes you to manual configuration in Windows. Change Secure Boot and hardware virtualization in [BIOS / UEFI](/desync-docs/russkii/english/pc-preparation/bios-uefi.md).

## Reports and comparison

Save the full report as TXT or copy the relevant lines. Reports contain PC identifiers; send them to trusted support, not a public chat.

[Before-and-after comparison](/desync-docs/russkii/english/desync-system-checker/comparing-before-and-after-data.md) is covered separately.

For technical problems, [send logs from the loader](/desync-docs/russkii/english/troubleshooting-and-support.md): the minidump and checker data are sent with them. TXT can be attached as additional context. A complete BSOD dump is prepared separately at support's request.

## Updates and editions

The checker checks its update channel; the change list is available inside the program. A network connection is needed for updates and some driver information.

The reseller edition uses a different update channel and supplier contacts. Its diagnostic capabilities are the same.
