# PC preparation

Preparation before the first launch of PUBG, EFT or SPOOFER.

### 1. Check your system

Use official Windows 10 or Windows 11 x64 with available updates. [Open the loader](https://desync-4.gitbook.io/desync-docs/russkii/english/launching-the-loader) → **Diagnostics → Start check**. Review system, components and settings in **PC status**. Diagnostics and Windows settings are available before activation.

Before making changes, use **Save report** to save a TXT. Snapshots are held in memory for the current loader session; save a TXT if you need to compare after closing the loader or restarting the PC.

### 2. Remove conflicting software

If installed, uninstall third-party antivirus software, FACEIT Anti-Cheat and Riot Vanguard. Restart the PC afterwards.

### 3. Check components

All products require [RuntimePack](https://jameszero.net/runtimepack.htm), [DirectX](https://www.microsoft.com/ru-ru/download/details.aspx?id=35) and [Visual C++](https://learn.microsoft.com/ru-ru/cpp/windows/latest-supported-vc-redist?view=msvc-170). Click the names to download. Diagnostics helps check components; install missing ones yourself.

### 4. Configure BIOS / UEFI

| Boot mode               | UEFI           |
| Secure Boot             | Disabled       |
| Hardware virtualization | Disabled       |

Follow the [BIOS / UEFI instructions](https://desync-4.gitbook.io/desync-docs/russkii/english/pc-preparation/bios-uefi). Diagnostics only reads these settings. If the PC uses Legacy, contact support before switching: an unprepared switch to UEFI can prevent Windows from booting.

### 5. Configure Windows

In the loader, open **Settings → Windows**.

Disable Hyper-V components, hypervisor launch through BCD, PUA protection, SmartScreen, Defender real-time protection and Smart App Control when available. Enable ASLR as described below.

Switches add actions to a queue. Select **Apply**, review the list and confirm. Refresh the state afterwards and check the result. If a restart is needed, save your work and restart the PC yourself.

For SmartScreen and Defender, use **In Windows** to open Windows settings. Defender can turn real-time protection back on; check it before every launch. If Smart App Control is in Evaluation mode and the switch is unavailable, contact support.

> Disabling protection reduces Windows security. Diagnostic colors and statuses alone do not make a setting mandatory and do not rate the PC’s overall security.

### ASLR

Enable all three settings: **Force randomization for images, Randomize memory allocations, High entropy ASLR**. Apply through the queue and check the result. Restart before launching DESYNC if required.

### Optional settings

Disabling VBS, HVCI / Memory integrity, UAC, Fast startup and hibernation is optional. VBS can depend on hypervisor state. Disabling hibernation also disables Fast startup and hybrid sleep. Consider firewall settings only when troubleshooting connection problems.

### 6. Check the taskbar position

For PUBG and EFT, the Windows taskbar must be at the bottom. Standalone SPOOFER does not require this.

### 7. Check the result

After required restarts, reopen the loader and repeat diagnostics. Check the mandatory settings; not every row needs to be green. Use [before-and-after comparison](https://desync-4.gitbook.io/desync-docs/russkii/english/desync-system-checker/comparing-before-and-after-data) to compare a saved TXT.

If a setting does not apply, [contact support](https://desync-4.gitbook.io/desync-docs/russkii/english/troubleshooting-and-support). Submitting a request from the loader automatically includes a diagnostic report. TXT is optional; it contains PC identifiers, so do not publish it openly.
