# HWID-ban scenarios

These steps supplement ordinary [PC preparation](/desync-docs/russkii/english/pc-preparation.md). They prepare for subsequent launches and do not remove an existing game-account ban.

## PUBG

A new Windows user plus trace cleaning is the faster preparation option after a ban. In DESYNC's experience, it is less reliable than a clean Windows reinstall and requires every step to be followed precisely. 1. Create a new Windows user through Settings → Accounts or the corresponding loader function.
2. Restart the PC.
3. Sign in only as the new Windows user. Perform every following action from this account.
4. Open the loader's advanced settings and clean PUBG user traces.
5. Select PUBG, enable the spoofer and Trace cleaning. Do not enable Use previous configuration after a ban.
6. Follow the normal [PUBG launch procedure](/desync-docs/russkii/english/products/pubg.md), continuing to use the new Windows account.

Follow the order without skipping steps. Returning to the old Windows user, omitting cleanup or applying the previous configuration after a ban can undermine preparation. Simply creating a new user is insufficient.

For an HWID-ban scenario, use a new game account that is not associated with the previous ban. A Windows user and a PUBG account are different things. An existing temporarily restricted account remains blocked until the time specified by PUBG.

Deleting the old Windows user is not required. If you decide to delete it, save any files you need first.

## EFT

1. Select EFT in the loader.
2. Enable the spoofer and Trace cleaning.
3. Do not reuse a configuration with which you received a ban.
4. Wait for these actions to complete before opening the game launcher.
5. Follow the normal [EFT launch procedure](/desync-docs/russkii/english/products/eft.md) with a new game account.

Changed identifiers in the checker report do not by themselves prove that the game has no restrictions.
