# Key activation error

The activation warning says that an error occurred while activating the key and that it appears invalid or previously activated.

## Why it happens

* The key was entered incorrectly or copied incompletely.
* The key has already been used.

Keys are single-use. Entering one again does not reactivate the subscription.

## What to do

1. Copy the entire key from the purchase message or page. Check for extra spaces or unrelated characters.
2. To transfer an active subscription, complete the transfer form in [@desync\_support\_bot](https://t.me/desync_support_bot). Fill in all fields accurately and check them before submitting. A regular message or re-entering the key does not replace the form.

## If the error remains

If the key has never been used and was copied correctly, create a bot ticket and attach the error screenshot.
