# Virtual machine error

Message: **Sorry, this application cannot run under Virtual Machine.**

## What to do

1. Open [DESYNC System Checker](/desync-docs/russkii/english/desync-system-checker.md) and run diagnostics.
2. In Windows Settings, check Hyper-V components and hypervisor launch through BCD. DESYNC requires both to be disabled.
3. If changes are needed, use the checker queue: review → confirm → apply → check again.
4. Restart the PC if required.
5. Check hardware virtualization. DESYNC requires it to be disabled in [BIOS / UEFI](/desync-docs/russkii/english/pc-preparation/bios-uefi.md).
6. Run diagnostics and try launching again.

Disabling VBS and HVCI / Memory integrity is not mandatory. Consider them separately during diagnostics; do not change all protection options simply because of a report entry's color.

[Create a ticket and send logs](/desync-docs/russkii/english/troubleshooting-and-support.md). Attach the error screenshot, explain which settings changed and whether you restarted. Add a launch video and TXT report if available.
